Dionicess VIII: The Bruery & The Foundry on Melrose

Mark your calendars, kids. I’m teaming up with my good friends Gev Kazanchyan and Dave “The Gueuzehound” Watrous to bring you yet another installment of the popular beer pairing event series: Dionicess.
Dionicess VIII marks the third such event that I’ve had the pleasure to work on. This time, we’re pairing up the world class beers of The Bruery with Chef Eric Greenspan, chef/owner of The Foundry on Melrose, to bring you an epic day of hedonism… with two separate tastings featuring two separate menus!
After really going over the top with Dionicess VII at The Foundry, pairing an eight course meal with eight different beers from Dogfish Head Craft Brewery, we weren’t sure how we were going to take Dionicess VIII to the next level. We’d approached our friends at The Bruery to see if they wanted to have part in our next event, and they were game from the first mention. Chef Greeny was in, no problem. Dionicess VII: Dogfish Head & Decadence
Hey guys! My beer pairing event for LA Beer Week, Dionicess VII, that is being put on with my good buddy/craft beer guru Gev Kazanchyan, is this Sunday, October 10th at The Foundry on Melrose! Gev and I had a chance to sit down with Chef Eric Greenspan to taste through the beers and plan out a menu. If you’d like me to sum it up in one word, well, I’d have to say, “Wow.”
We had a blast shooting ideas back and forth between us and with his sous chef, and this event will be nothing short of epic. We’re promising five courses and five beers, but we might have a little something extra up our sleeves as well. Let’s just say Eric liked every Dogfish Head beer we served him, and wanted to do something with each of them.

Dionicess VII: Dogfish Head & Decadence LA Beer Week Beer Pairing & Tasting
It’s official! The latest in the famed series of beer pairing events, Dionicess VII, will be taking place during the second annual LA Beer Week! Craft beer gurus Gev Kazanchyan and Randy Clemens have partnered up once again for another stellar beer pairing event, this time bringing together “bitchin’ brews” from world renowned Dogfish Head Craft Brewery and “blissful bites” from Chef Eric Greenspan’s The Foundry on Melrose.
Running on the momentum of our previous event (the SOLD OUT Dionicess VI held at Tony’s Darts Away with Firestone Walker Brewing Company), we had to team up to bring you something epic during LA Beer Week. Taking place on Sunday, 10 October (yes, 10/10/10 — awesome already, right?), a five course lunch will be served al fresco out on the patio of The Foundry.
Beyond the exquisite cuisine, we are set to bring out some amazing beers from Dogfish Head, including several special releases that we were able to get our hands on that you aren’t likely to see ever again.
Tickets are available now, but must be purchased in advance. Be forewarned, this event WILL sell out. Tickets are $79 per person, which includes all food, beer, and applicable taxes. Get yours now!
